All sorts of things...

So its been a crazy last month but things are slowing down and I am getting everything back in order...including the blog.  I was too lazy to do a bunch of diff. posts so I just combined them.

Anticipating Halloween
So I got out her costumes in her closet cause I was bored tonight. I had fun dressing her up although I don't think she enjoyed it all that much. They were both a bit big on her causing her to fall over backwards a lot.
My baby bumble bee!
I got this at a garage sale for a dollar! I love it!
Hula Girl!
Her cheesy smile.
Sad she is stuck in a drawer. I just laughed.

Extreme Makeover: Holly Edition

We were doing a home spa night for mutual and we had done the face masks and stuff, which had gone well, then one of my girls came up to me. "Sis. Vasso, can I give you a makeover?" I knew going into it that it wasn't going to turn out too pretty. Jaden (the girl to my right) started out nicely and picked some nice soft colors, but soon I noticed she was putting lipstick outside my lips...but just a little, looking at me to make sure I wasn't going to stop her. Once she realized I was ok with it, the two others girls started and from then on out it was an attack!
They were smearing makeup on me left and right and writing things on my face with lipstick. You probably can't tell what it says  but "sis. vasso" is written on one side of my face with "harry potter" written on the other side with a lightning bolt down the middle of my forehead. I had to make a quick get away at this point otherwise I knew my face would end up just black...which it was close to anyhow. What I learned from this: makeup doesn't come off very easily. It was still on the next day even after showering. I love my girls!

Oatmeal face masks! Sadly it kept falling off in chunks down our shirts.

Girls Camp

So this is at girls camp, our theme was "Daughter of a King" and they brought up a bunch of old D.I. and prom dresses for everyone to dress up in, it was so much fun and they did an awesome banquet dinner as well. It was my first night to leave Maya and I must say it was a bit hard when I knew it was her bed time. But the fact that I stayed up till 4:30 talking to the other leaders helped me out a ton cause by the time I went to bed- I didn't even have time to think about my baby.

Hopefully you can tell which is me, I still get teased to death that I look just like my girls! ;)

static+hair=

She doesn't even look like the same baby to me!
Can we say...finger in socket?
Camille took maya out on the trampoline a few days ago. She was laying down and while camille started to jump a little the hair began to grow!

The Very Hungry Caterpillar

After sqeezing all the frosting off, she ripped the cupcake apart and actually ate quite a bit.

Chowin' down on her birthday cupcake!
The very hungry caterpillar cake.
I was surprised she actually kept this crown on, she toddled all around the house with it on.

I can't believe my baby girl is one year old! It has flown by so fast. Motherhood has been the hardest but the best thing that has happened to me. She is such a special girl who is so stubborn in her ways and very independent. We had her birthday party this last sunday and I have been thinking about what to do forever. (i get so excited about these types of things) I changed ideas a few times and finally landed on this one when I saw this cake on the internet. It was love at first sight.

She didn't nap well that day so I figured she would be grumpy for the party at 5:00. I put her in her high chair: she wanted to get out. We sang her happy birthday: she cried. I gave her a cupcake: she cheered right up.
Thanks Raili for decorating the living room, we had a great time. We are going to Utah today to drop off Raili at the Salt Lake Airport, I am so sad, but I know her fiance will be happy to see her. We love you!
