Even though I've eaten Krispy Kreme goodness melt in your mouth doughnuts for years now, I've actually never been in one. So after the kids were feeling all cooped up after visiting T for a while in his little hospital room, Ryan suggested I take them to Krispy Kreme. I happened to have my camera with me as I had taken some of T at the hospital (that's another post) so here was all the happenings while getting doughnuts.<br />

Spring is here and we are loving the warm weather. It has been so nice to be able to go outdoors and we spend hours outside every day. (unless it rains) We decided to take the kids to the park the other day and they loved it. Tyce is going to be 6 months old this month (eek!) and Maya and Jax are growing so fast. I swear time flies faster with every kid. Since my last update things are going so much smoother. I am just so glad to have some warm weather to get out on walks and playdates and such. Here we are at the park....</div>

<br />
I just gave myself a pat on the back for that.<br />
<br />
Ya know. Talking to people who have larger families I heard these two things countless times:<br />
<br />
1.) Kid number 2 was the HARDEST adjustment for me. It is a lot different than just taking care of one child. After that you can do any number.<br />
<br />
OR<br />
<br />
2.) Kid number 3 was the HARDEST adjustment for me-because you have more children than you have hands and more children than you have adults. After that you can do any number.<br />
<br />
Well. The verdict is in. I fall in the second category.<br />
<br />
For some reason I didn't think it would be that much of an adjustment since I did daycare last year and sometimes had 4 extra kids. My logic was: if I can watch 6 kids for 8 hours a day surely 3 of my own will be just fine. <br />
<br />
I expected some adjustment of course, but more what I went through when I had my second. Not bad. Not bad at all. Even with Jaxons health problems...not bad at all. <br />
<br />
So dont ask me why 3 was initally so hard. I really dont know. I consider myself a prompt, responsible person. So why with one extra kid did that get shot down the drain? Late to church, late to preschool, late to the pediatrician, late with dinner (if dinner got made), late to bed, late to wake up, the list went on......<br />
<br />
I just couldn't keep up. I felt like I was on a roller coaster that never ended. I was so frustrated with myself as a mother. <br />
<br />
<img alt="" class="rg_hi uh_hi" data-height="194" data-width="259" height="194" id="rg_hi" src="https://encrypted-tbn1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTAVzzUMYx_c1xTVz4Nxc7DVJW4NEXXbyxekU0iPjj6akitwC2F" style="height: 194px; width: 259px;" width="259" /><br />
<br />
Then. On one particular day. (I think Tyce was about 3 weeks old at this point) I hit my breaking point. I had woken up late, was running late taking maya to preschool and in doing so forgot to feed her breakfast. I couldn't find socks for Jaxon so I shoved his boots on and quickly put him in the car without a coat. Maya, Jax, AND Tyce was crying in the van as we drove to preschool. I did the walk of shame to mayas preschool to take her to class but couldn't remember the code to get in the building. Luckily another mother was late -who obviously still has her mind- because she remembered the code. I walked maya in late to her class than ran to the van. <br />
<br />
I got in the car and started to drive. Tyce was now screaming, but at this point if I didn't keep going I was going to be late for my pediatrician appointment. Tears started to swell as I drove and I called my mother. I said, "I know its too late for this.....but I dont think i'm ready to have 3 children! I cant do it. " <br />
<br />
You can hear the same piece of advice a 100 times in your life. But sometimes, once out of that 100 times it sticks. It is now lodged in the back of your brain forever. This was one of those moments. After recounting my mornings madness my mother wisely said to me,<br />
<br />
"Holly! You NEED to lower your expectations. "<br />
<br />
my response: "Im not expecting much at this point! I just want to shower, eat , and get my kids where they need to go on time. How can I lower THOSE expectations??"<br />
<br />
Mom: Well, you can wait to shower in the evening when Ryan is home, let the kids cry for a minute while you eat something, and being on time???? HA! Now you know why so many mothers with lots of little children are late. Just accept that you <u>will</u> be late UNTIL you adjust to 3 kids. It will happen. Just be patient and lower. your. expecatations.<br />
<br />
The perfectionist in me was wanting to fight everything she had just said. But my gut told me that she was 100% right.<br />
<br />
At this point I had pulled off on the side of the road (my mother demanded it once she realized I was crying and driving- smart woman. )<br />
<br />
I hung up the phone and drove to my pediatrician appt. As I drove I had a quote that I love come to mind.<br />
<br />
<em>"<span style="color: #990000;">The only way to get through life is to laugh your way through it. You either have to laugh or cry. I prefer to laugh. Crying gives me a headache." -Marjorie Pay Hinckley</span></em><br />
<br />
Maybe it was my headache that brought this to mind...... But I made a decision. Even though it is NOT in my nature to be lighthearted when I am stressed. I was going to make a concious effort to do so. On top of that I was going to....<br />
<br />
lower my expectations.<br />
<br />
Accept that I was going to be late for a while, maybe not have showered or gotten ready till AFTER dinner. That meals were going to be from Artic Circle, frozen chicken nuggets, or pizza for a while.<br />
<br />
Then a couple weeks later I stumbled across this blog post on facebook. It too was life changing.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.daringyoungmom.com/2012/12/19/drops-of-awesome/">http://www.daringyoungmom.com/2012/12/19/drops-of-awesome/</a><br />
<br />
The next time I took maya to preschool: I was still late. Her hair wasn't done. (she did get fed though. I was mighty proud of that. ) Tyce was crying in his carseat again, but I took a deep breath as I walked her in late to preschool and said to myself "lower your expectations. This is ok." and you know what? It kinda worked! I got in the van and thought to myself. Just laugh. <br />
<br />
It was definitely a forced laugh. But there were no tears. :)<br />
<br />
I am now happy to report that things are going MUCH smoother. About the time Tyce hit 8 weeks old I started to gain a little bit more control. Here at 12 weeks old I am now arriving to preschool and appointments on time again, cooking dinner again-mostly, breathing, Ive even thrown in a few workouts here and there, I shower on a regular basis, im breathing. Hooray! Drops of Awesome for me! That doesn't mean life is perfect, but I just wanted to throw this out there to anyone else going through a time of adjustment. As moms we can be so hard on ourselves. Yes we have a big responsibility in raising our children. But there will be times where we wont measure up to our own expectations. In those moments-<br />
<br />
Lower your expectations until you adjust.<br />
<br />
Laugh and find a way to enjoy the ride.<br />
<br />
and when you do have small victories<br />
<br />
Pat yourself on the back and give yourselves a "Drop of Awesome!"<br />
<br />
Cause you know what..... <strong><u>WE</u></strong> deserve it.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />

<br />
Its been a few weeks, but I still wanted to post this. We welcomed our 3rd addition to the family and he couldn't be cuter. Tyce Ryan made his debut 2 days past his due date on Halloween. To be honest, I was really shocked he lasted that long. I started having preterm labor at 28 weeks when I traveled to Eastern Idaho for my nieces baby blessing. It went away for a couple days when I got back and I figured I had just over done it a little. It started coming back though and over the next two weeks it got pretty intense. I had to go to the hospital twice, I was given the shot to stop my labor, and was put on perscription meds to keep it from happening again. I was told that I wasn't technically on "bedrest" but I was banned from doing a lot of things. Something as simple as carrying my one year old upstairs would start contractions. So I had to take things REALLY easy.<br />
<br />
From week 37-39, probably 3 times, I thought it was go time.(and my dr. was out of town) I was close to going to the hospital. The last ten days I felt like I was in labor but I couldnt time the distance between the contractions. I wasn't dilated much and that absolutely baffled me. The only time I have felt that much pain in pregnancy was when I was actually in labor. I talked to my Dr. at my 39 week appt- Unfortunately he had been out of town for the previous two weeks, and without a medical reason-the hospital wont let you induce without a week notice. So I was given two options-being induced on halloween or november 4th because he was booked on surgeries till then. Wanting to keep my sanity...I chose Halloween. :) <br />
<br />
Then mothers guilt set in. Is that a super lame birthday? Was I being totally selfish for not waiting 5 days? Will my kid never feel like he actually has his own special day? Would this put me as a candidate for worst mother of the year?<br />
<br />
Then reality set in. I couldn't it handle anymore....and even if he hates his birthday, someday if/when his future wife goes over her due date. He'll understand. :) Besides, Halloween COULD be a cool birthday right?.....right???<br />
<br />
aaahhh.... I felt MUCH better after rationalizing in my brain. (and a few phone calls to my sisters having them agree with me)<br />
<br />
.......................................................................<br />
<br />
The day of the inducement came. My last appt. with my OB had been 15 hours earlier.( I was still dilated to barely a one.) Over the last 48 hours I had told ryan, "I feel like I am in labor" 60 times. Literally. But I still couldn't time my contractions. We got to the hospital at 7am and at 8 when my dr. checked me....I was almost at a 5!! I was already in full blown labor. Whoohoo! <br />
<br />
This immediately solved two problems for me. <br />
<strong>One</strong>: I now felt <em>very</em> justified for every one of the 60 times I said, "I feel like im in labor!"<br />
<strong>Two</strong>: Mothers guilt about the halloween birthday???? What guilt?? Pshaw...this baby decided to come on Halloween by his own free will!<br />
<br />
All I needed now was a magical epidural, a tall cool glass of ice chips, and CNN to pass the time. Bliss.<br />
<br />
I was dilated to a 10 by 10:30am. However.....apparently my dr was trying to finish seeing all his morning patients quickly so they asked "since I had an epidural and wasn't feeling anything if i could wait?"<br />
<br />
"Huh?"<br />
<br />
"Um..."<br />
<br />
Is that humanly possible? You do realize this is a baby being <em><strong><u>born</u></strong></em> right?<br />
<br />
Then my nurse explained that the baby wasn't fully descended and it actually would be easier on my body because I wouldnt have to push as much. Sounded strange but fair to me. I made it 45 minutes before I felt like the baby was going to come crawling out on his own.<br />
<br />
My Doctor ran over from his office across the street. Once he got there I did a practice push, pushed through 2 more contractions, then without even pushing- Tyce was here. :D<br />
<br />

<br />
<br />
My immediate reaction has been different with each of my three kids births. <br />
<br />
Maya: I was more in shock and just like. "oh wow, so this is what you look like. You are so beautiful!......wow im a mom! ect...."<br />
<br />
Jax: I choked up a little and I was amazed how much he and Maya looked alike. Holding a son for the first time was an amazing experience.<br />
<br />
Tyce: Tears. Lots of tears. I couldn't hold them back. There were so many challenges that came with this pregnancy. But as cliche as it sounds, it is so true that as soon as you hold your baby in your arms you know that every minute was worth it. There was such a flood of emotions as I held him. Relief, gratitude, amazement, and just so much love for this new little boy of ours. <br />

<br />
Well, I officially have a 4 year old. Ok, she has been 4 for a couple weeks now (ok....almost a month), but with moving, visiting my family and <strike>laziness</strike> other things.....I just didn't get around to a big party till later. I figure what better time to have a late party then when they dont really get how calendars work? You can tell a 3-4 year old any day is their bday. :D and they believe you. <br />
<br />
We had a great time though. Lots of little princesses and one "prince" running all over for a couple hours. It was a blast. What a fun age to have a bday party.<br />
<br />
Maya is so grown up and I love how well she communicates. Its fun to have "grown up" conversations...well kind of. She is such a huge helper with Jaxon and even though they may have their "sibling spats", dont mess with her brother. She is super protective and I find it adorable. She is loving learning time, crafts, and is absolutely in love with the trampoline. <br />
<br />
I love my girl. What a blessing she is in our lives!<br />Holly and Ryan Vassohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10620037393027206763noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6555330947160294858.post-50767084299453394142012-07-08T09:13:00.002-07:002012-07-08T09:13:55.624-07:00A needed updateWow. 4 months since my last post. Thats a long time. But to my credit, I was sick for half of it, the other half I was just lazy. :D<br />
<br />
Lets see, so much has happened since then, but most of you are friends on facebook so im pretty sure you know all the updates anyways. <br />
<br />
For starters (as many of you already know), baby number 3 is on the way and growing well. This was by far my hardest pregnancy, but for the shortest time. I actually started getting better at 12 weeks instead of 17 or 18. It ended up being such a huge blessing for many reasons, but we also ended up buying another house and moving right when I was about 18 weeks, so that made things a ton easier. I am now 24 weeks and in the best phase of pregnancy that exists I believe. We found out we are having a boy, (which maya was less than thrilled about), but after recently meeting her first cousin at 2 days old-I think she was won over by the size of "the baby's little toes!" and I think as long as we show her the babys toes.... we will be just fine. Although we did have an hour and a half discussion after my ultrasound about "why a baby brother is not a curse". ( she was dead set on a sister)<br />

A pregnant zebra. At 24 weeks. ;)<br />
<br />
My parents are living their dream and bought a house in eastern idaho. I would never call that my dream location. Too much snow. HOWEVER, in the summers it is SO beautiful over there. They live on a farm and are getting right into the whole "animals, growing things, enjoying my aunts 4 wheelers....." and my kids love it. Heres some pics from our last visit.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
The house we bought was my parents house, and we are currently renting out our other house. Its decently bigger and on a much bigger lot, so we are loving it....and I am trying my best to not kill all the vegetation that exists. The pluses of this lot is a big raspberry patch (i came back from vacation and had about a gallon and a half waiting for me), peach trees, and a huge spot for a garden. I would take a picture but you might have a hard time distinguishing between the plants and the treacherous weeds. (we were gonna for over a week and they took full advantage)<br />
<br />
Ryan Graduated. Enough said. Hallelujah and let the party begin! He is still working at the same company he was working before, however he got moved over to marketing, now has salary instead of commission, doesn't work saturdays or late hours, and gets to go on business trips, (he just went to New Orleans and will go to Missouri next month) <br />
<br />
I became an aunt! This just happened two weeks ago. I went over to take her newborn pictures- I will post one. I came back with 300 on my memory card. hmmmmm..... new aunt syndrome??<br />

Did I say i'd post just one? Sorry. I couldn't contain myself. Little Jaylee Ann was 5 lbs 14 oz and was just soooo tiny. She came three weeks early, but was on her best behavior for Aunt Holly to bombard her life and take a bazillion pictures. I LOVE being an aunt. Seriously so fun!<br />
<br />
wow this is a long post, last pictures I swear! I took Ryan and kids to a park with me to scope out some spots for my latest family shoot I had. I had to take a couple of them while there. So far my pictures are coming up crappy lookin' on blogger....any ideas on how to make them look like how they are supposed to? Anyways, here is our last 4 months in one HUGE post. enjoy! Whatever it is that makes me this way-its <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_1" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">ingrained</span> in me. Somehow it lights a fire inside me when there is a <strong><span style="color:#663300;">designated</span></strong> time to make goals. I LOVE making goals....it also go's along with my great love of these as well<br /><br /> <img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; width: 229px; height: 320px; text-align: center; display: block; cursor: pointer;" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5693190533313822530" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-3labHjfpHSs/TwJGoFDJf0I/AAAAAAAABI4/p3-W9RYkRbQ/s320/cartoon_to%2Bdo%2Blist.png" /><br />This is probably a more realistic "accomplished" list for my day, ya gotta start somewhere right?<br /><br />I always have lists around. Maybe its due to my poor memory and the only way I get things done, but it works for me and that seems to be all that matters.<br /><br />My tendency is to make so many new years resolutions (really- like a <span style="color:#ff0000;">whole</span> page of them) as I decide that I am going to seize and conquer all my bad habits that I end up feeling like there is no way in this crazy world that I would be able to accomplish them. Which soon after ends in utter failure. So after thinking about it I have narrowed it to three main goals divided into categories.<br /><br /><ul><li><span style="color:#3366ff;">Physical</span></li><li><span style="color:#009900;">Mental</span></li><li><span style="color:#cc33cc;">Spiritual</span></li></ul><p><span style="color:#000000;">The best visual for me was a triangle. With one of these words at each end it gives balance.</span></p><p> </p><p>So here are my New Years resolutions. and I fully intend to keep them. Yes.... Maybe.... <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_3" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">OK</span> Yes I do! </p><span style="color:#3366ff;"></span><br /><span style="color:#3366ff;"><strong>Physical</strong>-</span><span style="color:#000000;"> I want to start AND finish a weight lifting program. There is a 12 week program that I am considering. (I have one more day to figure it our since the gym is closed today.) The gym is literally 2 minutes from my house. No excuses. This last year I lost all of the weight I have been meaning to for years. It feels wonderful, but I have to admit I found a new love. Goodbye <strong><span id="SPELLING_ERROR_4" class="blsp-spelling-error">cardio</span></strong> and hello <strong>weights</strong>! (but <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_5" class="blsp-spelling-error">dont</span> worry I still do both) It not only made me lose weight but shaped my body different than <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_6" class="blsp-spelling-error">cardio</span> ever has. I felt like I had more energy with my kids and more motivation in life. </span><br /><br /><span style="color:#33cc00;"><strong>Mental</strong>- </span><span style="color:#000000;">I want to continue my learning in photography. I have owned my camera for one year now, and I feel like I have only used one crayon in the 64 crayola box. There is so much to it! But I </span><span style="color:#000099;">LOVE </span><span style="color:#000000;">it. It keeps me awake at night reading about it and playing around taking pictures of my kids in the day. </span><br /><br /><span style="color:#cc33cc;"><strong>Spiritual- </strong></span><span style="color:#000000;">I am going to set a specific time of day where I read my scriptures. I am what you would call a flip-flopper. I get it done, but when and where is another story. And some are certainly more meaningful than others. I came across this quote:</span><br /><br />“It is certain that one who studies the scriptures every day accomplishes far<br />more than one who devotes considerable time one day and then lets days go by<br />before continuing. Not only should we study each day, but there should be a<br />regular time set aside when we can concentrate without interference. … <a name="67"></a><br />“A quarter of an hour is little time, but it is surprising how much<br />enlightenment and knowledge can be acquired in a subject so meaningful. The<br />important thing is to allow nothing else to ever interfere with our study”<br />Howard W Hunter<br /><br />So <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_7" class="blsp-spelling-error">thats</span> my goal. 15 min at the <span style="color:#ff6600;">same time</span><span style="color:#000000;"> every day.</span><br /><br />Here it is. This post is more for me. As much as I love lists, they often end up in the trash by accident. This way I have a reference.<br /><br />Happy New Years everyone! Any fun resolutions??? Make this year your best yet!Holly and Ryan Vassohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10620037393027206763noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6555330947160294858.post-5986619169181138652011-12-12T08:39:00.000-08:002011-12-12T09:52:04.302-08:00Costa Rica<div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-X8RKn5_6g2o/TuYxbtYdY7I/AAAAAAAABIQ/zp0W35lzcVo/s1600/293.JPG" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; width: 320px; height: 240px; text-align: center; display: block; cursor: pointer;" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5685285931710243762" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-X8RKn5_6g2o/TuYxbtYdY7I/AAAAAAAABIQ/zp0W35lzcVo/s320/293.JPG" /></a>At the temple in San Jose, it was a beatiful temple and we felt really blessed to fit it in our last day right before we flew out.<br /><div><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-W0yDRuaq1AE/TuYxbd4RBCI/AAAAAAAABIE/-UaUen2IalI/s1600/226.JPG" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; width: 320px; height: 240px; text-align: center; display: block; cursor: pointer;" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5685285927548683298" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-W0yDRuaq1AE/TuYxbd4RBCI/AAAAAAAABIE/-UaUen2IalI/s320/226.JPG" /></a>This is the place where tours are given of the turtles on the beach (yes this is close to the size we saw of turtle we saw)<br /><div><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-KVHEj5FXo-U/TuYxa2qS7vI/AAAAAAAABH4/eAAJwIW6xBI/s1600/262.JPG" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; width: 320px; height: 240px; text-align: center; display: block; cursor: pointer;" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5685285917021105906" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-KVHEj5FXo-U/TuYxa2qS7vI/AAAAAAAABH4/eAAJwIW6xBI/s320/262.JPG" /></a>hanging out in the lounge area of our youth hostel in Montezuma<br /><div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-BvRpywMqx9I/TuYxagj6ZMI/AAAAAAAABHs/olMPHOla7x4/s1600/219.JPG" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; width: 320px; height: 240px; text-align: center; display: block; cursor: pointer;" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5685285911088751810" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-BvRpywMqx9I/TuYxagj6ZMI/AAAAAAAABHs/olMPHOla7x4/s320/219.JPG" /></a>Eating at the "turtle hotel" the ocean is right behind those trees.<br /><div><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-o0sBwXqZSVQ/TuYwh9XoW0I/AAAAAAAABHc/V6bg1iq35TY/s1600/218.JPG" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; width: 320px; height: 240px; text-align: center; display: block; cursor: pointer;" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5685284939569322818" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-o0sBwXqZSVQ/TuYwh9XoW0I/AAAAAAAABHc/V6bg1iq35TY/s320/218.JPG" /></a>Typical rice and beans, and then their version of nachos. We saw this place on "Samantha Brown: Costa Rica" and had to check it out.</div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div>So this trip was for our 5 year anniversary. We found super cheap flights and had a flight and a half free from our points so we decided it was a good option. We stayed in a nice hotel the night of our anniversary (which was one of the first nights) and then bummed it by going backpacker style staying in youth hostels the rest of the time. I told ryan next time we should do it the other way around. Bum it at the beginning and stay in a nice place at the end. lol, it was fun though.</div><div><br /></div><div>One of the things I found interesting about the country was how windy/curvy the roads were. very small, no shoulder....with a cliff on one of the sides often times. and yet they had Semi's driving around everywhere. As soon as we saw the driving there was no doubt we were gonna pay full insurance for our rental. :/ We rented a GPS (we would have been so lost without it) its not a typical freeway highway type thing. Most of the time your driving on tiny roads through a neighborhood to get where your want to go. It was a very kind GPS to alert "ding ding....dangerous bridge ahead" Once we realized all the bridges were "dangerous" (meaning going from a two lane road down to a one lane bridge so you had to take turns) it didn't scare us anymore.</div><div><br /></div><div>For activites we went zip lining, the walking tour through the rain forest, horseback riding on the beach, to the temple, hot tubbing, but the coolest thing was the leatherback turtle. We paid for a tour to see a leatherback turtle come up on the beach and dig its hole and lay its eggs. You cant use any white lights or the turtle will leave and not come back. So no pictures, but our turtle was almost 6 ft long and 4 1/2 ft. wide. We watched her dig out the hole with her back flippers and then proceeded to lay about 90 eggs. 60 fertile, 30 infertile. (if your wondering where i got my stats from, there was a scientist there measuring and counting. 10 years ago 1500 turtles came to this beach, last year there was only 36. They are working hard to preserve them)</div><div>After she laid all the eggs, she started flipping the sand back on and then would gently pack it on. Im amazed how with even a turtle, you can see the gentle nature of a mother taking care of her babies. It was incredible. We were very lucky to even see a turtle, and we had to wait 6 hours for it to show up. It finally showed up close to midnight.</div><div>all in all it was a great trip to celebrate 5 wonderful years of marriage. Lots of adventure with a few moments of "eek" . Like the night when there was a machete outside of my door in one hotel, or when we almost drove off a cliff, or when our GPS got rained on and the voice wouldn't work: but came on magically 4 days later so we didn't have to replace it. But hey...those are the things that make great stories.</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div>Holly and Ryan Vassohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10620037393027206763noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6555330947160294858.post-25766600162335065902011-11-03T14:17:00.001-07:002011-11-03T14:46:47.306-07:00Before and After<div align="center"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ueLzPtybFSk/TrMFvy10vOI/AAAAAAAABFA/AHz04DYF9QY/s1600/Jax%2B1%2Byear%2B006.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 214px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: pointer" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5670882674449104098" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ueLzPtybFSk/TrMFvy10vOI/AAAAAAAABFA/AHz04DYF9QY/s320/Jax%2B1%2Byear%2B006.JPG" /></a>So this is before Jaxons 1 year vaccines.</div><br /><br /><div align="center"></div><br /><br /><div align="center"></div><br /><br /><div align="center"></div><br /><br /><div align="center">and</div><br /><br /><div align="center"></div><br /><br /><div align="center"></div><br /><br /><div align="center"></div><br /><br /><div align="center">this</div><br /><br /><div align="center"></div><br /><br /><div align="center"></div><br /><br /><div align="center"></div><br /><br /><div align="center">is</div><br /><br /><div align="center"></div><br /><br /><div align="center"></div><br /><br /><div align="center"></div><br /><br /><div align="center"><span style="font-family:georgia;"><strong>3 days later.</strong></span></div><br /><br /><div align="center"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-unYEju8nPS0/TrMFvtMtalI/AAAAAAAABE0/C7Cslh1a7js/s1600/jaxs%2Brash%2B015.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: pointer" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5670882672934480466" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-unYEju8nPS0/TrMFvtMtalI/AAAAAAAABE0/C7Cslh1a7js/s320/jaxs%2Brash%2B015.JPG" /></a><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-tPgZzR54OUQ/TrMFvXiJ5cI/AAAAAAAABEs/ZSuQTUjk_wM/s1600/jaxs%2Brash%2B016.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: pointer" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5670882667118847426" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-tPgZzR54OUQ/TrMFvXiJ5cI/AAAAAAAABEs/ZSuQTUjk_wM/s320/jaxs%2Brash%2B016.JPG" /></a>Poor little guy. Ive been busy with one word. Photography. I am of an obsessive nature. I get involved in a project and I am just that-involoved. But I also realize that I sometimes have a short attention span and like to jump around a lot. Kinda like my cake decorating phase. I did it long enough to get all the stuff needed to do quality cake decorating, made a couple wedding cakes....and then moved on. What can I say? It wasn't my love. So photography is my new love. But I have a feeling photography is a winner. Now if I can just figure out all this stuff on photoshop it would be nice. Can I just say what bummer it is that BSU doesn't offer a photography BA....but how lame-they offer a masters in it? Yeah, not much good unless youve had some undergrad training. </div><br /><div>I remember when I first got married I knew that I wasn't going to go back to school at the time. Some people thought it was just because I figured, "im married, so im done" far from the truth. I was pursuing a Health Science Education major, then I went to teach in China for 6 months and if there was one thing I learned-I did NOT want to teach. Not that I hated it, but if push came to shove and needed to work. It wasnt my passion. I dont have the patience for it. Even before I was married I didnt really think that was what I wanted, but figured it was better than all the other options. So i just went with it.</div><br /><div>So for the first time in my life...I know what I want to do. and there is no good school around for it. I wish I was back in rexburg for BYUI photography program. Oh well, such is life. That is enough on that. I should post some of the highlights of some of the photo sessions Ive done lately. Im by no means professional, but have a blast doing what I do.</div><br /><div>Anywayzzzz....on to the fam. Maya is still talking a lot in dance class but I think she is learning a few things since Ive been hearing her practice in the other room "heel, toe, heel, toe." Im glad shes enjoying it. She has been working on reading with me and is making good progress. More than anything its just kind of fun to watch your kid have those "connection moments" when they learn something.</div><br /><div>Jax is a busy little guy who we refer to (affectionately) as our puppy dog. Not in a bad way-but every time you sit down, he lays his head on your lap, looks you in the eye, and gives a big smile. You walk in from another room, he runs up to you, grabs your leg, and just smiles at you. He is a content little guy who loves to have his cuddle time. </div><br /><div>Ryan is about as burned out in school as it gets and I dont blame him after doing 2 years straight (summers included) but he is still hanging in there and doing good. Just ready to graduate. He is doing good at work and has gotten some good golf/tennis time in this summer. </div><br /><div>So thats pretty much it. We are just plugging along and I am SOO glad that it is finally the fall. Summer used to be my favorite season. Fall has totally trumped it. :D enjoy the beautiful colors!</div></div></div></div></div>Holly and Ryan Vassohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10620037393027206763noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6555330947160294858.post-11753554109687742772011-10-05T20:26:00.001-07:002011-10-05T22:26:11.344-07:00uh oh...<div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-E3hIT61z3-I/To0gvW9TgmI/AAAAAAAABCQ/5BtyoQLmaSM/s1600/012.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: pointer" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5660216304663233122" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-E3hIT61z3-I/To0gvW9TgmI/AAAAAAAABCQ/5BtyoQLmaSM/s320/012.JPG" /></a></div><br /><div>Yes, this is my little 11 month old. Literally, this was how she looked the WHOLE time. :D She was so excited to be there, when her teacher asked for a volunteer to sing the "itsy bitsy spider" her hand shot right up and she sang it (with actions) for the whole class and about 20 parents. Where she got that bravery from....well, it certainley wasn't me.</div><br /><div>It was kind of humorous because she just kept talking the whole class. In fact she talked so much she kinda got in trouble. So we had a good discussion on listening to the teacher and not talking so much. They've sold pest control together for two summers, so suffice it to say, they are good buddies. :) We were so excited that he was getting married and even though it was a 6 hour drive there one day- just to drive back 6 more the next day there was no doubt we were going to his wedding. <div>For being a really short trip it was really fun. I would probably not be able to say that if we had taken the kids with all that driving, so yes- we left them with my parents and had a fun quick little get away. We got there Friday afternoon and did a session in the SLC temple. ( a new experience for me) then walked around downtown salt lake and went to PF Changs for dinner (if you ever go...get the Szechuan asparagus, its to a-m-a-z-i-n-g) then went to the outdoor mall where we both realized how cheap we are because we would never spend that much money on one article of clothing. Im completely an outlet/clearance/stack that with a coupon kinda girl. It was still fun though.</div><div>They had a breakfast the next morning for all those going to the Sealing at the Lion House ( for those of you who dont know, it is one of Brigham Youngs old residences) and it was so yummy! I must admit I felt a little out of place when I looked down and saw all those extra forks and spoons and had to wrack my brain for those etiquette lessons from mutual. (a shout out to those leaders) From gourmet berry muffins with lemon glaze with fresh fruit arranged elegantly to quiche and ham and potatoes with some seasoning on it I couldn't identify, but it was unlike any other potato I have ever had-and thats saying something from an Idaho girl. They brought the food out in courses and it was just so fun. I wanted to take my camera out and photograph the representation of the food, but I figured that would be a little white trash so I kept it in its case. No one else at our table seemed as excited about it as me and Ryan were. ;) </div><div>We also had a member of the Seventy at our table who performed the sealing so that was also really neat. He takes tour groups over to Israel so we swapped stories. Of Israel for him, and China for us. </div><div>Concluding breakfast we headed to the temple and the Sealing was beautiful. But right afterwards we had to rush off to head home. And by "rush off" I mean we waited around the temple over an hour for them to come out and then wait for the group pic. There were 67 weddings that day so we had to wait about 10 couples for them to come out. what a busy but gorgeous temple. Its no wonder why so many people want to get married there.

I love her reaction-she didn't even know what it was and she was still that excited!<br /><div><br /></div><div><br />I cant believe how fast it has all gone by, here I am and I have a 3 year old now. She is so much fun and adds a lot of spunk to our family. I really wanted to make her a princess cake for her birthday. (selfish of me I know, but I had found a REALLY cute one) and i tried to convince her, but what she really wanted was a dinosaur cake. I was still in the phase of trying to convince her otherwise when we had this conversation.<div><br /><div>me: dont you want this pretty princess cake?</div><div>Maya: no, I dont think so</div><div>Me: are you sure? it will be really pretty and have sparkles and princesses on it!</div><div>Maya: Mom, lets have a deal. You get the princess cake. I get the Dino cake. Good deal?</div><div>Me: (defeated) yeah....good deal.</div></div><div><br /></div><div>So the dino cake it was....it actually ended up only taking an hour to make so maybe it really was the good deal after all. :D Ha ha....she loved it, thats what made me happy. She is such a big helper and is now good at pulling Jax off things i dont want him to touch, and is Great at throwing away diapers. (except for the few times she puts them in random places and a day later my nose finds them.) Lol.</div><div><br /></div><div>She is really into dinosaurs, horses, and any other sort of animal. I am one of those people that absolutely LOVES this day. I love dressing in the colors, the fireworks, bbq's....everything. We started out going to our friends house for a brunch with several different families. The kids loved playing and having fun. As you can tell from the picture above it wiped Jaxon out. :)<div>Then 3 of us Moms went to JCPenney because they had put out a bunch of 10 off 25$ coupons so a shopping we did go. :D I love coupons, literally I plan my shopping trips around them.</div><div>In the evening we went to the fireworks with our friends and brought a lot of junk food and just had a good time. Both the kids loved the fireworks and it was great to spend time as a family. Ryan has been doing a summer BSU class as well as 4 other BYU classes that are due in the middle of august. He has finished almost two of them and is hacking away at the other two. Its funny how a normal semester is now going to be our break. If everything goes well he will graduate next spring. yay!</div>Holly and Ryan Vassohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10620037393027206763noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6555330947160294858.post-70057269480936197272011-07-18T12:48:00.000-07:002011-07-18T12:58:38.502-07:00Fathers Day Pics<div><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-smvWNmdZC68/TiSPxkNGrkI/AAAAAAAAA_I/49AqzxZB3CY/s1600/jaxon_8_months_011.JPG" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; width: 320px; height: 246px; text-align: center; display: block; cursor: pointer;" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5630783515814964802" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-smvWNmdZC68/TiSPxkNGrkI/AAAAAAAAA_I/49AqzxZB3CY/s320/jaxon_8_months_011.JPG" /></a><br /><div> </div><div><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-xPdwAoGNbkM/TiSPgACYsXI/AAAAAAAAA_A/TeuG1sRUNa0/s1600/maya_silly_024.JPG" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; width: 217px; height: 320px; text-align: center; display: block; cursor: pointer;" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5630783214048555378" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-xPdwAoGNbkM/TiSPgACYsXI/AAAAAAAAA_A/TeuG1sRUNa0/s320/maya_silly_024.JPG" /></a><br /><div><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-PM-9bFDYgf4/TiSPf698XlI/AAAAAAAAA-4/m8EEjsQXNIw/s1600/maya_silly_007.JPG" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; width: 320px; height: 214px; text-align: center; display: block; cursor: pointer;" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5630783212687744594" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-PM-9bFDYgf4/TiSPf698XlI/AAAAAAAAA-4/m8EEjsQXNIw/s320/maya_silly_007.JPG" /></a><br /><div><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-2JETViQSmF0/TiSPf0Pm5qI/AAAAAAAAA-w/LBKkW8KJtc4/s1600/jaxon_8_months_036.JPG" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; width: 320px; height: 263px; text-align: center; display: block; cursor: pointer;" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5630783210882786978" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-2JETViQSmF0/TiSPf0Pm5qI/AAAAAAAAA-w/LBKkW8KJtc4/s320/jaxon_8_months_036.JPG" /></a><br /><div><div> This year for Fathers day Ryan got some golf stuff, and a scrapbook with pics taken of the kids while he was at work. Beautiful mountains, gorgeous trees, laid back feeling, good food, amazing hotel. There- thats probably the best way for me to describe it. I loved it all. Any of you who know us, know that we LOVE to travel. However, its expensive-especially when you factor in the two little kidlets, so this year we stayed closer and went to Park City for a week.<br />Our friends have a time share connection so we got an awesome hotel right on the main street that had a fully furnished kitchen (that was so nice) and the master room was seperate from the kitchen and living room, fireplace, but the BEST part was the fact that it had a double soaker jetted tub-all that for an amazing price.</div><br /><br /><div>Its a good thing we had the tub, because the weather didn't cooperate as well as we would have liked for swimming, so this became our own "pool". Maya would get her swimsuit on and she would have a ton of room to splash around in. (hey, when your a kid you dont realize when your getting the short end of the stick) </div><br /><div><br />We saw some really good friends and family and spent some time in SLC at the zoo, temple square (well just driving around it cause at that point it was raining.) Did some outlet mall shopping, toured the olympic park up there by an actual olympian. Oh and shopped at my favorite store ever- IKEA! It was just fun.</div><br /><br /><div>With Ryan in school and working full time what we wanted more than anything was just to spend time together and it was the perfect place. Plus with two young kids we didnt want it to be a stressful vacation. By the time we hit day 5 though i think maya was done and ready to be back in her own bed and back on a schedule. </div><br /><br /><br /><div>There have been so many moments the last few months when we spend quality time together and i just think to myself... I dont think life gets better than this. I had lots of fun/not so fun moments getting to this point, but it was good for me. I really felt like I needed a challenge and this was definitely a challenge. Learning how to do fondant better, make cake actually from scratch, cake quilting, stacking cakes, how to get the cake to not be crooked and fall over, gumpaste flowers (which sadly after all that time learning how to do it I went with fake flowers cause they just looked better) yadda yadda. But the most important thing was that the bride loved it. I was so happy about that! Cause really in the end that is all that matters.<br /></div><br /><div>One of the best things is....im not going to have any more nightmares about my cake falling over, or getting dropped. :D Ahhhh.....sleep. :)<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><div></div></div></div></div></div>Holly and Ryan Vassohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10620037393027206763noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6555330947160294858.post-62377969459365457752011-05-15T15:49:00.000-07:002011-05-15T16:46:36.398-07:00Wedding Trip<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-dZeRXiIIS0I/TdBjYgPiskI/AAAAAAAAA4c/HFPiNmL3MlI/s1600/Wendys%2Bwedding%2B089.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5607090808699400770" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-dZeRXiIIS0I/TdBjYgPiskI/AAAAAAAAA4c/HFPiNmL3MlI/s320/Wendys%2Bwedding%2B089.JPG" /></a> Shoshone Falls<br /><br /><div><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-d_nV4tsr7tk/TdBjYbr6sWI/AAAAAAAAA4U/6pYn8gJa-MY/s1600/Wendys%2Bwedding%2B094.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5607090807476236642" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-d_nV4tsr7tk/TdBjYbr6sWI/AAAAAAAAA4U/6pYn8gJa-MY/s320/Wendys%2Bwedding%2B094.JPG" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-bCJm9pC4bJo/TdBjYLGyBAI/AAAAAAAAA4M/CtZrO5NWGxA/s1600/Wendys%2Bwedding%2B097.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5607090803025511426" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-bCJm9pC4bJo/TdBjYLGyBAI/AAAAAAAAA4M/CtZrO5NWGxA/s320/Wendys%2Bwedding%2B097.JPG" /></a><br /><br /><br /><div><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-5i5otlMoI90/TdBhnXXSPeI/AAAAAAAAA4E/WpkNWAi0YsI/s1600/Wendys%2Bwedding%2B120.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5607088864990739938" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-5i5otlMoI90/TdBhnXXSPeI/AAAAAAAAA4E/WpkNWAi0YsI/s320/Wendys%2Bwedding%2B120.JPG" /></a> At Aunt Elaines house<br /><br /><br /><br /><div><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-GDPOZxb2ygk/TdBhnLO5zFI/AAAAAAAAA38/q5-2Pmt9dP8/s1600/Wendys%2Bwedding%2B105.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5607088861734358098" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-GDPOZxb2ygk/TdBhnLO5zFI/AAAAAAAAA38/q5-2Pmt9dP8/s320/Wendys%2Bwedding%2B105.JPG" /></a>Happy as can be on a horse!<br /><br /><br /><div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Hb9xp4zm7wE/TdBhm8lP-XI/AAAAAAAAA30/8YcGYSIFRjg/s1600/Wendys%2Bwedding%2B110.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5607088857801554290" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Hb9xp4zm7wE/TdBhm8lP-XI/AAAAAAAAA30/8YcGYSIFRjg/s320/Wendys%2Bwedding%2B110.JPG" /></a> Too cute!<br /><br /><br /><br /><div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-KaluduOEN7E/TdBfb4WLH9I/AAAAAAAAA3s/1wiX_Fa-yl8/s1600/Wendys%2Bwedding%2B132.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5607086468662763474" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-KaluduOEN7E/TdBfb4WLH9I/AAAAAAAAA3s/1wiX_Fa-yl8/s320/Wendys%2Bwedding%2B132.JPG" /></a>Me and Brittaney helping decorate the car :)<br /><br /><br /><div><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-_Xn1SXFanOk/TdBfbj2mRvI/AAAAAAAAA3k/1j4kWQ6-gb4/s1600/Wendys%2Bwedding%2B133.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5607086463161616114" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-_Xn1SXFanOk/TdBfbj2mRvI/AAAAAAAAA3k/1j4kWQ6-gb4/s320/Wendys%2Bwedding%2B133.JPG" /></a>Not a good pic.....but the best I had of maya<br /><br /><br />So yeah....i took pathetic pictures of the wedding. Sorry about that. The wedding started a half hour late because the temple was so full so by the time we got out of the temple, we had two tired, hungry, and CRANKY children. But still had about 45 min of picture taking left with the photographer. Luckily she got some great pictures of my kids before they got grouchy, so I will post those when we get ahold of them, cause they were pretty good lookin. :)</div><br /><div></div><br /><div>On our way over we made a suprise stop to our old seminary teacher (who ryan likes to call our match maker) and then made another stop at Shoshone Falls. It was beautiful and we are so glad we did it. Good times! </div><br /><div></div><br /><div>Then we got to my Aunt Elaines (Caitlin I missed you!) and Maya was able to ride a horse for a while (her version of heaven-for those of you who dont know. Maya has been obsessed with horses for about a year and a half now) and then got to see the other farm animals and just enjoy being out in the country. It was a quick and busy trip but it was such a wonderful weekend.</div><br /><div></div><br /><div><br /><br /><br /><br /></div><br /><div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>Holly and Ryan Vassohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10620037393027206763noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6555330947160294858.post-76594532802655205152011-05-15T15:20:00.001-07:002011-05-15T15:46:45.846-07:00Easter/ Wendy's graduation<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Mzd4Zh-9hJI/TdBVGbQIwdI/AAAAAAAAA3c/to0gXPZMQOs/s1600/Wendys%2Bwedding%2B046.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5607075104959283666" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Mzd4Zh-9hJI/TdBVGbQIwdI/AAAAAAAAA3c/to0gXPZMQOs/s320/Wendys%2Bwedding%2B046.JPG" /></a><br /><br /><div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-f756XZQwtpM/TdBVGHeexGI/AAAAAAAAA3U/0AYdPu9w8Ug/s1600/Wendys%2Bwedding%2B071.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5607075099650737250" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-f756XZQwtpM/TdBVGHeexGI/AAAAAAAAA3U/0AYdPu9w8Ug/s320/Wendys%2Bwedding%2B071.JPG" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><div>We had a good easter, but since the semester was ending and Ryan was doing our sprinkler system for the backyard-it was kind of a busy one, but Maya really enjoyed doing the Kuna egg hunt. All i can say is that I have been B-U-S-Y! I started watching two-3 extra kids monday through friday to help our "mini van fund." The kids are 11 mo., 2 years, and then the occasional mon/fri kids are 3. So its a chaotic house when all those kids are there. But its been a good and growing experience for me.</div><br /><div>Ryan is getting close to the end of the semester and is also really booked with school and work. So finding family time has become a bit more challenging and now that we have a house we always have a "project" we are working on. The latest is the kids jungle room and the outside fence. Whenever we get that finished we will post pics. (of the kids room i mean....fences aren't that exciting to look at. :D ) Jaxon is 6 months now. (yikes!) and is healthy and growing big. He rolls all over and is starting to sit up a bit on his own.</div><br /><div>Maya is loving having friends over ever day due to me babysitting and on my days off, she wonders why all of her friends aren't at our house.</div><br /><div>I volunteered to make my sisters wedding cake (her wedding is in a month...once again- Yikes!) and lets just say it is harder than i thought it was going to be. It will turn out fine im sure, but It sure has been a learning process. Which is really what I wanted...something out of my routine to push me. I will post pics when that ones done too. :D</div></div></div></div></div>Holly and Ryan Vassohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10620037393027206763noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6555330947160294858.post-46193292017467246202011-02-15T20:48:00.000-08:002011-02-15T21:05:28.923-08:00Happy Valentines!<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-nY855zQTH_w/TVtYeDPtT2I/AAAAAAAAA0g/Hpmp2D-HjmE/s1600/Mayas_Photo_shoot_026.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 258px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5574146237091630946" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-nY855zQTH_w/TVtYeDPtT2I/AAAAAAAAA0g/Hpmp2D-HjmE/s320/Mayas_Photo_shoot_026.JPG" /></a><br /><div><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-CtOdb8DzKtg/TVtYePxw9pI/AAAAAAAAA0Y/Z90dIE6wVyM/s1600/Mayas_Photo_shoot_022.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 228px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5574146240455702162" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-CtOdb8DzKtg/TVtYePxw9pI/AAAAAAAAA0Y/Z90dIE6wVyM/s320/Mayas_Photo_shoot_022.JPG" /></a><br /><br /><div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-h-9Kcoic6fY/TVtX088IxkI/AAAAAAAAA0E/i3A62TvIwd8/s1600/jax%2B3.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 215px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5574145531024295490" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-h-9Kcoic6fY/TVtX088IxkI/AAAAAAAAA0E/i3A62TvIwd8/s320/jax%2B3.JPG" /></a><br /><br /><div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-9RkMDkRpM10/TVtX0pQNKjI/AAAAAAAAAz8/PEYxjoJnUi0/s1600/Jax%2BValentines%2B2.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 217px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5574145525739760178" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-9RkMDkRpM10/TVtX0pQNKjI/AAAAAAAAAz8/PEYxjoJnUi0/s320/Jax%2BValentines%2B2.JPG" /></a><br /><br /><div><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-uwH0dn17t_w/TVtX0kIsQyI/AAAAAAAAAz0/gMsNmnd9yQE/s1600/jax%2Bfixed.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 243px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5574145524366066466" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-uwH0dn17t_w/TVtX0kIsQyI/AAAAAAAAAz0/gMsNmnd9yQE/s320/jax%2Bfixed.JPG" /></a><br /><br /><div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-I4HSC7DG_Gc/TVtX0XdO_xI/AAAAAAAAAzs/ztbINh7oWNk/s1600/Maya%2Bvalentine.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5574145520962567954" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-I4HSC7DG_Gc/TVtX0XdO_xI/AAAAAAAAAzs/ztbINh7oWNk/s320/Maya%2Bvalentine.JPG" /></a><br /><div>How can you not have a great valentines with two little cuties like these around? I haven't used my new flash much yet so I took advantage of valentines day and took these pics of Jax and Maya. </div><div>We celebrated valentines on saturday by running errands together (without the kids of course) and having dinner. Doesn't sound like much, but when you haven't been able to leave the house for 3 weeks. It was awesome! As of today we are no longer on "house arrest" due to Jaxon. </div><div> He started having bloody stools with a fever a week after we got back from the hospital, so they were afraid that the E coli had spread into his blood. So we had to rush him to the dr. and get several tests done/drawing blood/antibiotic shots. They almost put him in the hospital again, but decided he looked pretty good so we would wait a bit. He has done alright and so far the tests have been negative for it so we are relieved about that. If it had gone to his blood we would have been back in the hospital for 10 days or more. SO glad that wasn't the case. ( knock on wood) They did find an infection in his intestines and is on his 4th round of antibiotics, this one is for 20 days, 4 times a day. Man that is hard to remember.</div><div> Monday-valentines day, I set up a "daddy daughter" valentines dinner and maya helped me prepare everything. From making placemats and glitter nametags, to the food and setting up music and a candle (which all she wanted to do was blow out) she had a great time and so did ryan. Super cute moment. </div></div></div></div></div></div>Holly and Ryan Vassohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10620037393027206763noreply@blogger.com3
